This SACD by BIS has been reviewed already twice in these pages.And I must say that I don´t agree with the two other reviewers who find faults with this recording. My first Philips SACD, and also done in pure DSD I think. Anyway, this is a very realistic ,very natural recording of a grand piano played in the reverberant acoustic of the Musikverein Vienna,by a master pianist.This is one the best recordings of a solo piano I have heard ,and clearly shows the ... more |

This is my first Telarc SACD, and like the Mahler 2nd on DGG,which I reviewed recently, I find it also a very good recording.
But I am a bit puzzled by the fact, that I tend to like it better, when I hear it over headphones
