Hello all,
I would really like to search out some wonderful blues SACD's. I have the Stevie ray Vaughn stuff and absolutely love it. Anything else I should check out as MUST-HAVEs?
Thanks!!

I'd recommend the recent release from MFSL Keb Mo 'Keb Mo'. It's hybrid/stereo only but an excellent SACD. He also has a couple of other SACD's that are a bit difficult/expensive to obtain but worth it IMHO.

I wouldn't say it's a must-have but in the early days I used to play a track from this disc as part of my demo sequence:

Byther Smith : Addressing the Nation with the Blues
Good old Chicago blues!! This was originally recorded in 1989 at Chicago's Soto Studio...and successfully remastered in surround sound and 2-channel in 2004.

I guess it is a bit under the radar (although I see where 20 out of 20 recommend it) but I staunchly recommend Albert King; "I'll Play the Blues for You". It is still available at a very sane price.

hi , this Robert Lockwood is a nicely recorded acoustic blues album. Just voice and guitar, nice live sound. Mixed very much up front. Easy to obtain, for a nice price!
good luck , Leo [ the Netherlands]
