This album is still a bit of an enigma to me. It starts as a more or less traditional jazz album with a distinctly modern sound to it and whammo, track 4 turns it into ...yes what exactly? Chopin piano works here consist of the Sonate no 2 in B Flat minor and Scherzo's no 1 - 4. This album was recorded in one night, directly after a tour in 1959. If you like David Sylvian you stand a good chance of liking this one - a lot! Not that Beck is not an original artist in his own right. The album definitely has its own signature.
