I can echo the comments made by the first reviewer, but I would go so far as to give this SACD the 5 out of 5 star rating. This album is about 30 years old (1973 - unbelievable how time flies when you're looking back on it) and it still sounds fresh, to these ears at least. I think this is an absolutely wonderful SACD, both musically and sound wise. I guess it could be viewed as a 'cross-over' album. Anyone who does not necessarily like country but appreciates Willie Nelson's distinctive voice and phrasing should try and give this disc a listen in my opinion. This 1978 ... more |
