Well Im suprised none of the site reviewers have posted on this one?.

Sheer unaldulterated Pleasure from start to finish.Likely to be my and many others sacd disc of the year.
Forget the rather counter productive descriptive title of the very melodic and flowing symphony.

Born on Christmas Day,Mother died within a year, went into hysterics as a child when he and the piano were parted as it was moved to its summer home,along with his personal idiosyncronies make Alex an interesting character enough for a film.

Im totally in agreement with brusers review and the stereo version is a stunner sonically.(Warts and all acuratly recorded from from the sessions give it a very live/studio feel) Ironic that probably Dr Selbys longest review is so way out and more people found it helpful..Perhaps he should have ... more |
