Great latin jazz disc, heavy on percussion and light on brass. This is a classic disc. Surround mix feature specific instruments in each channel. You get your moneys worth on this on as far as the running time. Conga kings. |

Another big Al Di fan here. Would have bought the disc just because of Big Al and it's SACD. Good sounding disc. Typical Al Di music with the exception of the "flute". Listened to it straight thru twice. Never owned the cd. Why would you? You could have turned on the radio anytime in the 10 years following the release of this record and heard it all, everyday, all day long. SD were over exposed to the max but it's nice to dust off this release on SACD and settle ... more |

Johnny's the man even if this ain't his best. If you like the albino texas tornado you are going to buy this sacd anyway, cuz it's the only one out there.
