If you can spare an hour + to be absolutely enchanted by delightful music beautifully performed and recorded this is a mandatory purchase. The Trio Zimmermann are highly regarded soloists who join together for brief tours twice a year, and the freshness of their performance suggests that they take great pleasure in the experience. Like their previous recordings Mozart: Divertimento K.563 - Trio Zimmermann and Beethoven: String Trios Op. 9 - Trio Zimmermann these early works of Beethoven could not be played more lovingly, and the recorded sound is utterly lifelike. Turn out the lights, close your eyes, and prepare to be transported to the best seat in the recital hall.

Sounds good, Bill. Mozart's Divertimento is one of my favorites. And the Trio Zimmerman didn't let me down. Wish there was more of Mozart's chamber music on Mch SACD. Thankfully Channel got Mozart's violin sonatas released. I've been listening to Faust's Beethoven violin sonatas quite a bit recently. This one of his string trios looks appealing. Best seat in the house... That's for me. :)
