Sorry old chap but I haven't the remotest idea what you are talking about.

Let's just stick to SACD shall we... please and leave the whimsical Facebook and Video musings for different more appreciative audiences.

I trust studious readers appreciates my replying under the above recent TCC release, February 18 ; especially with regards to my first response /showthread/109290/115870#115870 to Harry Fox's foxing.

Incidentally, /support Amazon.com currently sells it at $24.99, you save $14.96 (37%) from List Price...

It needs more time than I have to spare for properly unfolding of my thoughts into words.

Time inv... Reading before listening before writing before... Or listening before reading before writing... Or writing before...

What ? Who...

/showthread/109915/110057#110057 for starters.

Facebook began later than SA-CD.net and has...

Well, just because some members, including myself, write often and might use sophisticated grammar shouldn't preclude anyone from joining the conversation. Yes, I value your opinions...

Sure, I'll depreciate foxes ; fools are another matter.

Perhaps, next Post be to /showthread/115614

Before then, previously, of Tim, briefly :
The Rock is a first-rate, slam-bang action thriller with a lot of style and no little humor. It’s made out of pieces of other movies, yes, but each element has been lovingly polished to a gloss. And there are three skillful performances: Sean Connery is Mason, an intelligence expert who’s been in prison for 30 years; Nicolas Cage is Goodspeed, an FBI scientist; and Ed Harris is General Hummel, a war hero with a mad scheme to wage chemical warfare against San Francisco...

Director Michael Bay orchestrates an efficient and exciting movie, with big laughs, sensational f/x sequences, and sustained suspense. There are several Identikit Hollywood action stars who can occupy the center of chaos like this, but not many can convince you they think they’re really there. Watching The Rock, you care about what happens. You may feel silly later for having been sucked in, but that’s part of the ride.

Perhaps, Wilhelm, if you are a fan of Wes Anderson's cinema you might enjoy his newest instant classic "The Grand Budapest Hotel" currently being shown in theaters.

Referring to The Rock: it was an enjoyable film with an always exemplary performance by our favorite James Bond, Sean Connery (of course, let's not discount current Bond Daniel Craig.........our second favorite Bond)!

A lot is wrong with this thread:
1) This is SA-CD.net, not Criterion-BD.net

2) Almost without exception, all Criterion BD are region A locked. This means every BD Criterion produce will be unplayable outside of North America. Those in region B or C areas won't be able to view them unless they have a full (BD/DVD) multi-region player. This is why I posted two links to more appropriate sites for this topic on previous page. First link for Criterion equivalent in EU, Masters of Cinema, is appropriate forum for region B.

This thread is completely inappropriate for an international forum.

Not worthy of a Criterion release, according to their very own standards as stated on their own advertising.

Have you seen some of the questionable Criterion releases? I had the misfortune of buying "The Uninvited......" Totally outdated and Northern California posed as the English Moors. A veritable boor. Certainly, the Rock was more enjoyable........but certainly NOT a classic by any means!

Time has not been kind to a lot of so called classic cinema and the renewed Golden Age of Television with the cable networks on board are certainly producing much more interesting and topical fare.

The old saying "They don't make them like they used to" should be retired because, IMO, they're making them better (and I'm not referring to the horrible modern Hollywood output of Cartoon character cinema).

I have a couple hundred of the Criterion DVDs that I've never opened and realize now that I'll never get to. The follies of youth - thinking I'll live forever. At this point, I'd best stick with trying to listen to some of my music (sigh)

And now, Lunna, Criterion is including a DVD with the BD~V at basically the same price as the older DVD in pristine hi def remasterings.

And to make matters more complicated, how far behind is 2k x 4k which means we buy them all over again?

The follies of youth and then some!

As far as downloading HD video: even my FIOS TV pales in comparison to the BD~V so how good can Netflix, et alia, be????? Most of the time it's 720p, at best with lossy DD, if even that!
