The redbook disc has been in my collection for years so when I saw that this was being released by Mobile Fidelity I was very happy and picked it up right away. Olias is very nice. Jon plays all the instruments and is a fine performer but this could have been better with specialists on each instrument. I was unfamiliar with Richie Beirach prior to this recording. I bought it on the strength of all the other Venus single layer SACDs that I have been ordering.
