DO NOT MISS!!! Great recording at at great price!!! Period instrument performance of three works by Charpentier that are absolutely delightful. This is available on DVD-Audio AND SACD. Both discs sound essentially the same.

DO NOT MISS!!! This is arguably the best recording of a huge pipe organ with a symphony orchestra. Yes, it is inside the acoustics of Liverpool Cathedral, but if your surround balances are set properly and you have full-range monitors all around (with LOTS of power), this disc will move the air ... more |

No, that is NOT a pipe organ on this disc. It sounds like a Rogers analog electronic organ. UGH, another 3-manual radio!!! Maybe they can rent an Allen digital instrument from Macungie, Pennsylvania, for the next big program that requires an organ.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISC, IT IS TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE PREVIOUS REVIEW. I made the mistake of believing that review, ordered the disc from jpc in Germany, and the recording HAS NO BASS!!!
