There are two great compositions on this album and I enjoy listening to them both. This is a Telarc Soundstream and although the sound is good it still sounds a bit compressed and sometimes strident to me, particularly the strings as is the case with most RBCD's. |

This album was inspired and spotlights the timeless ballads of Frank Sinatra, one of America's greatest singers. It features strings on a number of tracks, and the singer is backed by her trio of ten years, pianist Christian Jacob, bassist Trey Henry, and Ray Brinker on drums.

It's no wonder this album won a Grammy - it's hard to find a track you don't like. The musicians and music is awesome! If you like jazz with a latin influence, this is your SACD. |

These guys are GOOD! The first track "Fragile" is mismerizing, I never heard "Carmen Suite" played any better. The only criticism I have is that many of the tracks between the opening and ending of this SACD seem to be too much of a guitar exhibition, rather than an orchestration. The recording ... more |
