This is one of the first SACD albums I bought - and it's awesome! "Where You Been So Long?" features a killer horn section (track 6) and "Hanging On The Cross" (track 10) are worth the price of admission alone. I would classify this album as progressive jazz which sometimes gets a little 'out there'. I enjoyed the content on about half the tracks on this SACD. The soundstage sounds a bit compressed to me and the lead vocals too closely miked. But there are some tracks on this SACD that are convincing both musically and sonically.
