Wow! This is a great SACD both in terms of orchestral performance and playback. I'm also a big fan of the DG Berstein Mahler cycle, particularly Symphony No. 2 which IMO is the benchmark. This SACD is awesome in terms of performance and soundstage, and almost sounds like a live performance to me. ... more |

I listened to this beautifully performed album in stereo - it has a very well defined and realistic soundstage left/right and front/back. This is another outstanding album produced by Telarc - a palpable listening experience. |

I didn't particularly enjoy the tango oriented musical material, but it was played very well. The sonics on this album are excellent. |
