Well (as the previous reviewer mentioned), I DO own SACD-capable equipment and have played this album. I think that it's outstanding... kind of like Motley Crue, but a little more innocent. :-) I must admit that I simply dig MoFi releases... haven't bought a bad one yet. Ehhh... it is what it is: a bluesy, gutsy, poorly recorded early '70s rock record. The sound is NOT crystalline, I agree. Solid music, but not my favorite of the genre. If you want this kind of record in outstanding quality, then check out MoFi's OMR "Foghat" or Edgar Winter Group releases. This ... more

I love this album and have had it on several formats. This one's the best, bar none. In addition to all of the other stuff (texture, separation, analogue-feel) that people love about SACD, if you really dig jazz drumming, then this one's for you. High hats, kick drums, snap, rolls.... Fantastic ... more

Okay, go elsewhere and read the reviews of this album and artist. Really, just do it. Now, consider that this SACD is released by Analogue Productions. You understand what I mean? Okay, got it? Finally, think "James Brown in your living room." Dig it? Fantastic! I'm not selling my copy!
