Okay, go elsewhere and read the reviews of this album and artist. Really, just do it.

Now, consider that this SACD is released by Analogue Productions. You understand what I mean? Okay, got it?

Finally, think "James Brown in your living room." Dig it?

The engineer who recorded this knew what he was doing, especially considering it was done in 1965. The band sounds like they are playing in your living room. Drums are really tight and snappy, Wells voice sounds alive and the you can almost reach out and touch the guitar. This the kind of album you want to crank to 11. My one objection is that the upper midrange (3-4k) is a tad hot.
