While this is indeed a beautifully PLAYED recording, please note that it was originally RECORDED at 50 kHz and 16 bits with the Soundsteam digital recording system.

This lady's voice is the sound of lust! She has that huskiness that spells female libido.
True, the material is low key but its polished and it's perfect for kicking back late at night, a scotch in one hand, the lights dim.
The SACD again brings out so much more in the music. |

While I've been a Byrds fan since the beginning, this mix seems to slight their greatest asset - their vocal harmonies. Perhaps I haven't tuned by system yet but the vocals seem lost amongst the instruments and it should be the other way around.

An old favorite returns but improved. I too was very impressed with the 5.0 version that I played. It did point out that a bit more tweeking of my new setup is required.

This was our very first exposure to SACD. I put the disc in and sat down with my wife to listen. In five seconds, we looked at each other and both knew that SACD was indeed significantly better than any medium we had experienced before, short of live music in a decent venue.
