The stereo SACD sound was actually uncomfortable to listen to when played at a high volume on my Thiel 3.6s. Never heard of the performers but they did a very creditable job of intepretation and performance. Their versions were freshingly unique without being weird or jarring. I really hate to gush but this is such a pleasant album! Lovely music, well-played, and with great sonics - what's not to like?

Like the others in Highnote's low priced SACD series, this one is great fun with interesting if unknown artists and wonderfully clear and pleasant sound. (Only listen in stereo and haven't tried the CD track either.)
