This 2-CD set is wonderful. Starker's playing is great, and the 3-channel sound quality is very nice. I'd highly recommend this.

Niiiiiice. Finally a "Layla..." that sounds like we all KNEW it should. This is my least favorite Dan disc, but as of now it is the only one available in SACD (c'mon Universal!!) That said, the sound is fantastic. This sure sounds nice. Stereo sound. It's not as clean as the Analogue Productions' John Lee Hooker disc, but it's pretty damn good. Great balance between the vocals and the instruments (esp. the bass). And it is Muddy Waters playing with Buddy Guy and Willie Dixon. What are you waiting for?

If you like this album, you'll definitely have to get this SACD. Giving the Allman Brothers the multi-channel treatment is a big, big plus.
