An intelligently mixed release this disc sounds great in mc and stereo in either redbook or SACD. The sound envelops (even in stero :) and I am playing it a lot at volume without fatigue - physical or mental. For some reason I just now bought this album in SACD, even though it's always been one of my favorites. He's a quick review for all you groovy cats out there. The best vocal recording ever! Yes ever. The album is fun to listen to as he's obvioulsy having a great time playing at the Copa. What a cryin' shame that so many good songs sound so bad! Shame on those responsible for trashing the sound on this disc. It could have been sooooo gooood, because the songs are all winners.
