Wasn't going to write a review as I just put this on as back ground music while web surfing. But the musics keeps pulling me in to listen. A sure sign of a great album. Yes, this is a captivating musical experience on a shiny little disc... but you already knew that! What you may not know that Ferry and Davies created another album nigh as good titled 'Boys and Girls'. If you like this SACD you'll like that SACD. Performance and sonic ratings are for both discs. ... more |

Just a quick note to say that JW has it exactly right. There are a couple of good songs on the disc but overall it's just "pleasant" (but not engaging). The sonics are fair with the highs really suffering the most. I haven't heard previous versions so can't comment on those, but the sonics on this ... more |

What a fabulous sounding album! Money for Nothing just groves and groves and groves. I never get tired of listening to this song. And you'd think you would because it's highly repetative. This review is for those of you who want to hear "The Exorcist" theme in MC SACD: do not buy this album. That mix is NOT on this CD.
