This disc is very under-rated. I find the sonics to very pleasing and there are some definite keepers on this disc, particularly a great version of "These Boots Were Made For Walking". For the most part, this disc does contain most of the hits that defined Gloria Estefan during the 80's and early 90's. The biggest omission from the track list is "Cuts Both Ways". When EMI announced that their first classical SACD release was to be Moment of Glory, many felt that this was an odd choice. I classify this as country rock female vocal. I find the performance interesting even though I don't particularly like country music. OK, I admit that this is only borderline country. I don't know much about this performer, but I do like this SACD. |
