This was the only Mobile Fidelity SACD prior to going out of business around 2000. The performance and sonics of this SACD are outstanding. This is traditional blues. Robert has the voice and style to deliver a convincing sound. I would love to listen to him in a small bar. Stevie Ray's breakout 1984 effort is more than worth the time spent to reissue the album on SACD. His vocal and guitar-playing skills were at their peak at the time, and the backing of "Double Trouble" adds a lot to the overall performance. This must be one of the most controversial SACDs. One Asylum reviewer nominated this as the worst SACD of all times. Several others have raved about it. I've owned this for 18 months, and have listened to it about 3 times. I bought it because of its rave reviews, but I don't have a good enough musical taste to appreciate this.
