I was just browsing the September releases on the site of a major UK mail order supplier and was pleasantly surprised to find 36 new classical releases listed. This is up from a more usual monthly list somewhere in the mid 20's. These are only mainstream european releases. There are probably loads more if you include specialist re-issue companies and Japanese issues. Maybe not like the good old days but clearly SACD is still very much alive! Interestingly no mention yet of any blu-ray audio from Universal or Warner.

... although the blu-ray audio of the classic Britten War Requiem has now staggered onto Amazon -
- even if you do need to examine the small print to identify it as such.
Not exactly a ringing vote of confidence in the format!
