Orff: Carmina Burana - Philadelphia Orchestra/Ormandy      (12 of 13 found this review helpful)

I was surprised that there were no reviews of this disc here so, although now getting a bit expensive to get, I thought I would offer my opinion. I have owned LP and CD versions of this work before and did not even know there was a SACD until a recent post on SA-CD.net. It was first issued in 1960 ... more

I am not comfortable with record labels quoting reviews on this site in support of their releases whoever wrote them. Magazine reviews are subject to editorial and peer ... more
New site up

I really don't know what the new site is trying to achieve which the old one didn't. I just looked up a title on both sites. A good review on SACD.net has been deleted. Further the number of 'recommends' has gone from 17/18 on the old site to 9/9 on the new. What is that all about? I am beginning to be more and more frustrated. ... more

Mark, thank you for the link and your thoughts with which I agree. Interestingly though, the logo on the Qobuz site is slightly different to the one shown on the link you sent but is identical to the one used by Zeus. Perhaps there are more than one available to use covering 'hires music' and 'hires audio'. What still puzzles me about the move to ... more
