I couldn't agree more. Enya's music is perfect for multichannel.

Can't wait to get my Rumours SACD. Hope Warners will release SACDs globally to reduce the cost, as I will buy them, the have a great catalogue and this is a much better format than dvda.

My Rumours SA-CD has arrived and it is brilliant. What a great format SA-CD is. I just wis the major labels would release more multichannel discs like this globally to make them cheaper and more easily affordable, there is a Market for them I feel.

Has anybody translated the Japanese insert regarding the making of the SACD? My Japanese is waaaay too poor to try now, but I'm pretty sure they are talking about the source material and how this disc was made. There's also some comparison between Warner's SACD vs. Universal Japan's.

I've never heard Rumours in any format, but I'm keen to give it a try on SACD or DVD-A. Any other opinions from those who have heard both versions?

Although a year apart, there are 2 back to back negative reviews of the vocals on the multichannel mix of the SACD. I had been sittin' on the fence on this one. Finally, I came across an inexpensive DVDA today. Here and there perhaps sound is slightly bright, but the overall sound and the vocals (including Stevie) sound great. Thanks for the reviews, Marc and others! Glad I waited. Excellent, immersive Mch mix.

Has anyone listened to dts5.1 mix on The Very Best of Enya DVD?

Yes, I have got this DVD. Enya is MOR for me, and I do not listened to her for years, so I cannot remember if it is tempting to get it anymore (it lays in my vault for some time due to space management for more valuable music).

More interesting is Stina Nordenstam (2001, independiente) which gives two options: stereo & m-ch presentation of each track, that is slightly differing from each other.

I feel that both releases are deleted now.

It's been a while since I spun my Enya disks, but I'd love to listen to some freshened up versions of her songs with a surround mix. So, I might give it a try.

Heard some samples of Stina... sounds fantastic!! I'll definitely keep an eye out for that one.

Thanks!

My copy of Stina's DVD (2001, idnependiente) "says for promo only" and rumours are that it have never been available commercially. SO good Luck with getting this disc. However the best tracks from Stina can be found on another album "And She Closed Her Eyes" obviously the ones with Jon Hassell on trumpet!
He is damn good over few decades and I return to his music quite often recently.

Enya is available on the Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring [Complete Recordings - 3CD + DVDA] OST box set, with a 24bit 48kHz Stereo and 5.1 DVD Audio. She performs the haunting but beautiful 'May It Be' end theme and also 'Airon' theme from Aragorn and Arwen. Stunning sound and highly recommended if your a LOR fan with a 5.1 system.

BTW, all three films OST are available in this format.
