I bought some "new", "factory sealed" SACD. They all sound pretty good, but some are in kind of low quality packaging include shrinking wrap and insert. Is there any fake SACD in circulation? I heard they are hard to copy. Thanks!

Perhaps if it was made in China but your machine should indicate whether it is indeed playing an SACD.

There's no SACD pressing plant in China.

Precisely my point but fake SACDs have been known to surface in China much like bootlegged videos.

Still, someone would have to figure out how to illegally press a recording as a SACD. And I'd think none of the legitimate SACD pressing plants would allow such a breach.

I think the point is it is labelled SACD but maybe isn't one.

Yep, two of the discs that I bought that were supposedly SACDs in Vietnam ended up being nothing but cds. Live and learn.

Please share what artists/titles they are, and whether they are actually SACDs or not (according to your player). I'm working on an overview of fake SACDs.
