Michael Ruff - Speaking in Melodies Toto - Mindfields Toto - Tamboo Chaka Khan - Epiphany (best of) Eric Gadd - all albums Bo Kaspers Orkester - all albums Cardigans - Long gone before daylight
There are tons of well recorded pop music that benefits hugely from high resolution. Who decided that a well made multi-tracked 24/96 studio recording is any less sophisticated/demanding than a purely acoustic one? A classical SACD benefits from the better reproduction of an actual room/concert hall. But that's just one of many aspects of sound quality that dsd and hi-rez pcm improves. In Pop music high-rez gives you better timing and intensity. And it gets more dynamic, more alive, and the multilayered instruments sound bigger, richer.

Cardigans: Long Gone Before Daylight has been released on SACD. It, like several popular titles had a limited production run. It just goes to show that popularity of some of these titles was under-estimated. I have this particular title and it's exceptional in all aspects.

Not only is it the best Cardigans album, the production is fantastic, too. I wish I had bought it. Guess it's time to turn to the second hand market.

If the SACD was a European import, here's the link you're all looking for. Several copies starting at less than $5 US. It states Super Audio CD in the middle of the page.
Universal's site says that this version (EAN 0044006710129) is a CD.
