Im starting to wonder, wether there is anyone outside this site interested in SA-CD.

You just realized this :) I guess you've missed how many iPods have been sold.

Discussions on SACD happen regularly on stevehoffman.tv, audioasylum.com, hometheaterforum.com, avsforum.com, head-fi.org, etc.

Hmm. With my diet, I'm on a dessert desert :-)

I find it funny to see that there are al lot of discussions going on all over the internet, but most of them include the same people posting on this forum.

On the other hand, I am sure a lot of people out there are listening to sa-cd but do not find the need to post on websites. I hardly ever post on a forum, but that doesn't mean I am not reading the posts people make. Or that I am not buying and enjoying my sa-cd collection.

Labels are still releasing new titles every week, so this means they are still making money, so people are still interested.

As long as labels continue to release the cream of their catalogues, I'll be happy. I was a trifle disappointed that some labels' courage has turned to jelly; perhaps SACD's profit-role was less than sweet for them.

I was disappointed that the Mercury Living Presence series petered out so quickly when there was so much more that could have been released.

Sound and Vision has a article called "tracking surround" sporadically (used to be every month). They review newly released SA-CD and DVD Audio Discs. I think they are about to concede defeat to I-Pod mania as well.
So yes it does seem at times "we" are on a desert island. But personally I would rather be on a desert island with a dozen excellent sounding SACDs than an I-Plod with 10,000 1 dimensional sounding "files".
