Not sure if that answers your query re DSD decoding (try page 25). Looks like it will output DSD or PCM via HDMI.
Thank you for the manual, it gives conflicting information as while it states that it will send DSD out on page 25, page 26 shows different types of LPCM output under HDMI bitstream graph. I hope that this will not be a botched machine like the latest Pioneer SACD player.

I just had a look at the page you linked: ... The surround sound version of that is called the:
SADV 1250 R HD
The uber new model appears to be the SACD 1260 R (rather than 1250 R):

The amount of new SACD hardware is simply amazing!

Wow, I must have overlooked something, because I thought I saw a review of the SACD 1250 R in one of this month's audio magazines. It clearly is an older model, (itself the successor to some 1240 R) and succeeded by the SACD 1260 R; all three stereo only.
I don't see any SADV 1250 R HD; only some SADV 1245 R [HD] which is a multichannel SACD/DVD player.

Anyone caught that bit of news in Stereophile's coverage of the Rocky Mountain Audiofest about a $400.00 CD/SACD player from Parasound? It's to be in the company's half-width Z-series....
