And here's the, very similar looking, SA8003. As previously mentioned, both are stereo only machines.

You're not allowed to say "stereo only" - that's rabble-rousing.
Mind you, you're not allowed to say multi-channel, either.........

Whilst on the subject of players. Has anyone tried the well known tweak on their digital output of their players. Its simply a 75 ohm resistor accross the output. It can be soldered into a simple rca plug. Very simple to try and unplug. Its less effective that cutting out the muting transistors that hang on the outputs adding distortion but it works when the original design hasnt incorporated cutting off this output by other means..

It's been mentioned elsewhere on the forum before but here's the first decent picture I've seen of the Oppo BDP-83 Blu-Ray / DVD-Video / SACD player. I've seen talk on various forums that DVD-Audio is also on the cards but there's no logo on the current picture.
There are some details on the Oppo site here: http://www.oppodigital.com/blu-ray-bdp-83/

Sold!
I would appreciate for recommendations on a universal player SACD/DVD in a $2000-$3000 range. The SACD sound quality over 5.1 analog outputs is the most important.
So far my list: Arcam DV139 Parasound Halo D3 Pioneer DV-58AV

NAD M55, Lexicon RT-20 and Sony DVP-NS9100ES are reported to be solid mch-performers. I haven´t heard them personally, though. Arcam is *very* good, but expensive.
