Criterion is releasing a Blu Ray Video of "A Hard Day's Night" in June with a 5.1 remastered soundtrack created by Giles Martin (son of George Martin the original Beatle's producer/guru).
Slowly, but surely, the Beatles WILL be released in hi res (and hopefully 5.1).
Don't despair, Wilhelm. Kind words and thoughts can be transmitted in 100 words.....or less!

They've already been released as a USB stick with 24/44.1 resolution, AmonRa, and it's loaded in my Meridian Sooloos. 15 albums worth: basically the content of the remastered Beatles Stereo box set (including Past Masters I & II).
Sound great but still long for 5.1!
