Elizabeth Watts does the cantatas just perfect. I still like better the performance by Lorraine Hunt Lieberson better but the sound of this SACD is way superior to the CD by Lorraine. You can compare her rendition of the Cantata BWV 199 with the one by Lorraine. These cantatas are hard to perform. I am sure we will get more recordings by Elizabeth Watts.
Like any Harmonia Mundi SACD, the sound is top notch. Highly recommended.
