Amazing performances. Amazing sonics. This is an early DSD recording, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing at all. It is pure DSD, recorded live and sounds amazing as it typical of these Telarc releases. Amazing, unadulterated Direct Stream Digital.

Native DSD? As soon as I put it on, it certainly didn't sound like it. Sounded more like average quality PCM. Taking a look at the liner notes...
"PCM to DSD upsampling with EMM labs DSD converter"

Very nice music. Interesting and entertaining. Reading the liner notes, this was recorded on a Sadie DSD workstation, and very obviously makes liberal use of the "DSD-wide" processing. This is indeed a DSD recording. I don't care what your Oppo says. Actually, your Oppo, or any other playback device, only sees DSD coming from an SACD. It doesn't matter what the recording medium is originally. What is coming off the disk is a DSD stream.
Period.
