This is a good example of a splendid recording with a caveat. I like this performance and recording a lot because it gives the impression of a live performance with substantial symphony hall acoustics. The SACD at hand is a somewhat older release with Gergiev in Shos 4. There are many releases of Shostakovich symphonies but not too many feature on SA-CD.
