Finally I have the definitive version of "Exile On Main St.". This is a very dense recording. It's packed with all kinds of ear candy which until the anniversary editon came across as somewhat mushy. I agree with the two previous reviews but I think the influences are more Soft Machine and Alan Holdsworth than what the other reviewers think. I would also like to point out that the multi-channel mix is 5.0 not 5.1. Doesn't make a heck of a lot of difference, at least on my system where crossovers ... more |

As excellent an album as it it, technically "Sticky Fingers" is rife with problems. The most notorious of these problems are the distortion and clipping on the beginning of "Brown Sugar" and throughout "Wild Horses".
