I love The Requiem as music but find that it almost always sounds harsh in any format except for a live performance. Unfortunately this one is not exception. I bought this when it first came out because I have generally been pleased with the sound quality of Pentatone's SACDs and I love this piece of music. I did not realize that I had a vinyl pressing of this disc with Stephen Bishop now Stephen Kovacevich on the SACD. Same guy! The vinyl set is on Phillips (6747 104 4LP) and includes all 5 concertos. This is a very unpleasant noisy album. Listen to some songs on Amazon before buying. The instruments are almost all electronic and distorted. The songs are not melodic. Consumer beware.
