Recording of 400 year old Italian music, probably an acquired taste for most classical music lovers. I found the Monteverdi piece the best. Magnificently romantic performance from the genius Ivan Fischer and his Budapest Festival Orchestra. First movement is spacious (but thankfully still under 20 minutes unlike some!). Prokofiev's scores with all their orchestral colour seem like naturals for the MC sacd treatment and here is no exception.
