With the very the first notes the cool sophisticated rhythms wash over you in glorious Concord sound and you just know this is going to be a great SA-CD. WOW ! That's all I can say. That, and the fact that this is a masterful performance. The sound is big, expansive and free flowing. No constricted dynamics. This is the music from my (your?) parents era. The 'archetype' of American Jazz. The recording of especially Armstrong's voice is unbelievable.
