The first track shows Coltrane's horn as clear as we're likely to ever hear it. Worth buying for this track alone. The musical content isn't as strong as many of his other albums however.

A decent effort. This improves upon the CD version but doesn't come close to an original LP or even the Classic LP reissue.

A good improvement over the standard CD which is a little harsh, but the source recording is still no winner. The music is excellent however and you can do no better than this version.

I'm giving 5 stars here for the remastering job. This is very close to the vinyl and in the area of background noise is far superior. At times it sounds like a master tape. I have long used this recording as a reference disc, both on LP and CD. I would go so far as to say that it is the best example of CD technology that I know of (the K2 version).
