Classic 70's album.
Stereo mix is very dissapointing. Sounds to me they worked off the original remastered pcm master. It has a digital brighteness and brittleness that one associates with low rez pcm. Much to be desired. It is impossible for the music to bloom.....rather it gets strident and ... more |

This is simply a classic album with great performances. Listening to this just makes you feel great. I have both the Japanese and regular versions of this sacd. I find the Japan import to be superior in all aspects. I believe the original American sacd was created using a tape copy made from pcm. ... more |

I really like this sacd. There are not more that seven individual players who create the sound of this sacd but it sounds like a lot more. The sound is rich and deep. This sacd was recorded using I believe 24/96 pcm and as such tends to have a slightly brittle (but not harsh) sound in the treble. But it's very subtle. It also lacks a very small level of warmth that I associate with analogue or pure dsd recordings and transfers. It also tends to be a little loud ... more |

I can say that I enjoy all of the Chesky sacd's I own because the performances and the recordings are top notch.
My only complaint about this sacd is that there is a little singing in it. Thankfully it does not go on for long and only three tracks does this occur in. Otherwise Chesky makes ... more |
