This is my third shm-sacd and they are overall good-sounding. SITKOL sounds pleasant to the ears, with very good bass and mids. My copy was delivered to my office in Manila very late in the afternoon yesterday by EMS Int'l after the plane carrying it arrived from Tokyo in the morning. I already own four EJ sacd's. So far, this is the best sounding. It's pretty special to hear one of my most favorite Rocket Man ever so clear: the voice is so believable, the percussions crisp, the strings resonant with energy. Add the fact that the lyrics are excellent. Geat songwriting! |

Detail is very realistic. Sonics excellent. Performance is a bit bland probably because of the choice of songs. Slightly better than the cd release though. |

Frankly, I bought this just to hear Long Train Running and my favorite South City Midnight Lady in hi-def. Well, the two are excellent tracks, undoubtedly better than similar tracks in my quite expensive DCC Compact Classics Best of the Doobies 24k gold cd.
