This album has a darker and/or more melancholy theme as compared to other DS albums. Starting slow and quiet and gradually getting louder much like a story told in a hush and building to an explosive climax. I like the guitar sounds as they are natural sounding. I love this sacd! Great analogue sounding disc. Crisp & smooth highs, nice percussion decays, firm bass, clean sounding guitars, even believable background horns, what more can one ask for? This shm-sacd arrived last week with T Rex's Electric Warrior. I've played this 4x before writing this short review. Wow! Another winner from Universal Japan. I own the cd 1996 Sony edition that utilized the super bit mapping process. I greatly admire Carole King and her works and this compelled me to buy the sacd version and boy, I'm not disappointed. I got this from my NY forwarder this afternoon and hurried home to play it. I really like this. Billy Joel's voice is clear and smooth. The highs are pretty good too.
