I first tried this artist's Albeniz Iberia SACDs and that was so good it prompted me to buy his Liszt as well. Yoram Ish-Hurwitz's strength is his subtlety of phrasing which shows his love for Albeniz's music. I just wanted to add to Adrian Cue review. Not only is the surround layer artifically reproduced but there are defects as follows: Track 1 is missing the right rear channel Track 4 there is no music coming from the right front channel Track 5 the front and rear channels have been reversed. I was disappointed with this recording and performance. I found the recording to be totally unbalanced in several ways. First, the orchestra's brass was all on the right side.
