This is a re-release. I purchased this multi-channel SACD on Amazon well over a year ago. The original release date of this recording was 2008. This performance has incredible energy, PASSION and excitement yet is restrained and exceedingly ethereal in the slow movements. I bought this Stereo only SACD in hopes that it would be a block buster recording like several other Vox/Turnabout recordings, for instance the Ravel Skrowaczewski/Minnesota Recordings and many RCA Living Stereo SACDs.
