I listened to this in SACD Multi-channel 5.0 sound. The SACD multi-channel sound stage is confined. One gets the feeling that everyone is cramped very tightly on stage and there is none of the beautiful reverberation that the Concertgebouw is famous for! I listened to this multi-channel SACD in 5.0 surround sound. BIS does not use the .1 LFE channel, so no sub-woofer was used. I first tried this artist's Albeniz Iberia SACDs and that was so good it prompted me to buy his Liszt as well. I searched for his website and discovered that he has a lot of information about Liszt and this recording. I think Mr. Ish-Hurwitz has given us even better performance of Liszt than he did ... more |
