The trio with the guest plays nine compositions primarily from classical composers, from Bach, Beethoven, Chopin to Debussy, Satie and one from Beirach. L. Almeida g, C. Byrd g, J. Byrd b, C. Redd ds, Concord 1985. The quartet plays eleven tracks of pure tango. No surprise on a disc called Tango. The performance is perfect, but is it jazz?
