Desert island disc, without a doubt. So vastly improved from any version previously available, it makes me mad to think I had to listen to this music a thousand times before hearing it like this. I grew up listening to this disc, so I love the music. This is the best sounding version of this timeless classic that I have ever heard. Well, maybe not perfect as the previous reviewer attests, but definitely an improvement over RBCD in every respect. Yes, it's got that 70's pop recording hard edge treble, but, hey folks, get used to it. Many early recordings were made with a hot high end, and the SACD's are usually too revealing of ... more |
