this is just a good recording! as the mozart trios the "haydn trio" performs the schubert works for trio with great intelligence and passion. the recording made the same guys who made the mozart recording. so the sound is great here again. just get it, you will buy 2Sacds foe the price of one! and ... more |

a nice mozert album for sopran. miah persson sings naturally and its good to hear a new talented sopran. of course she is not n.dessay or rene fleming, whose voices are just exceptional, but miah cuts a good figure here. interestedingly she sings the german and italian songs/arias without any ... more |

ambivalent impression! the performance of the schubert-mahler "Streichquartett für Orchester" is good and energeticly. The Mosow virtuosi do also a good job in wagners lieder, but only this soprano Indra Thomas... she has no good german articulation, you hear clearly the american intonation. what a ... more |

i am very disappointed by this one! harnoncourts approach to verdis requiem is almost as failed as his approach to verdis aida. the tempi are very very slow and the soloists are chosen badly. these are great performances of mozarts piano trios. the sound of the haydn trio eisenstadt is very warm and harmonic. especially the largehtto (with the zauberflöte "dies bildnis ist bezaubernd schön" theme) of KV 502 is just played wonderful. sonics in sacd-surround and stereo are great.
