Performance:   Sonics:
ambivalent impression! the performance of the schubert-mahler "Streichquartett für Orchester" is good and energeticly. The Mosow virtuosi do also a good job in wagners lieder, but only this soprano Indra Thomas... she has no good german articulation, you hear clearly the american intonation. what a pity, why can the labels not choose german singers for german songs?
the sonics are generelly good, but the bass is much too heavy! my subwoofer was almost a ventilator in the "Streichquartett für Orchester". Except for the bass, the balance of the instruments is really great. The tone of the recording is very clear and you hear every instrument. So i cannot fullyrecommend this recording, capricco can make better recordings, almost for chamber music (the mozart piano trios by haydn trio eisenstadt on sacd are really great recordings!)
