David Robinson from Positive Feedback Online put me on to this disc and I ordered it from www.artegra.org in October 2002. Another home run from APO. Yes, I know they are 25 dollars (or 23 at Best Buy) but I think these guys deserve it, so there. What can you say about Coltrane? Don't you have the experience that discs that sound 'interesting' but not entirely convincing on first listen end up being long term companions? What a great disc! Sound, performance, hell even the liner notes are great. If you like Mel Tormé you may have this on vinyl as it was released in 1977 on the Gryphon label as "Tormé, A New Album". Never thought of seeing Bruce Cockburn and Al Jarreau on SACD so early in the game, but there we are. I used to have the entire Jarreau catalogue on vinyl and I have a few CD's.
